Temple Beth Jacob Cemetery
As a caring congregation we feel it is important to provide burial service to members of the Jewish community. Burial privileges are open to Temple Members and can be purchased through the Cemetery Committee Chairman. Certain burial privileges are also available for purchase by members of the Jewish community at large, who do not have burial privileges in their Synagogue or who are not affiliated with a congregation.
Temple Beth Jacob Cemetery is over 150 years old and has three locations: Big Rock Cemetery in the center of Newburgh, Cedar Hill Cemetery in the Town of Newburgh, and Snake Hill Cemetery, an old Jewish Cemetery in the City of Newburgh, which is no longer used for new graves. |
For further information about burial privileges, help in funeral planning, or assistance at the time of a death, please call Ken Packer, Cemetery Chairman (845-590-1315), Rabbi Kohn (909-556-5906, after office hours), or the Temple Office (845-562-5516).
The Temple Beth Jacob Cemetery is owned by Temple Beth Jacob and is cared for and maintained by the Cemetery Committee made up of volunteers from Temple Beth Jacob. Perpetual Care and Maintenance of our cemetery is funded by fees and donations which are encouraged and appreciated. We are especially dependent upon donations to ensure continued Perpetual Care for many years to come. |
