Post-B’nai Mitzvah
This special year of Jewish education with the Rabbi takes place during Grade 10. Students work on projects and discuss issues especially relevant to high school teens and it culminates in Confirmation Services on Shavuot.
After becoming bar or bat mitzvah… don’t quit! We have an exciting program after 7th grade. 8th and 9th study Jewish world history and the history of the modern State of Israel.
Grade 10 is our Confirmation Class. Students meet weekly with the rabbi discussing Jewish values for lobbying in order to prepare for our annual L’taken Seminar in Washington, DC as well as other topics that speak to 16 year olds. The year concludes with a special ceremony marking the end of formal education. But that doesn’t mean we’re done.
Grades 11 and 12 meet monthly for Brunch with the Rabbi and discuss a contemporary issue important to high school students.
Finally, whether you are in any of these programs or not, be sure to see the link to NFTY, our youth group.
