Gift of Life Bone Marrow Swabbing Drive – Please help add potential stem cell donors to the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Donors simply swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration form, must be 18 to 35 years old and in good health. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of hours to help find someone’s match. Contact Sherrill Murray-Lazarus to volunteer at [email protected]. The upcoming swabbing dates are below:

Eligible for a free turkey you don't need? Tired of Chinese food and a movie on Christmas Day and willing to do a mitzvah instead? - Volunteers are needed to cook and prepare a Christmas Day dinner for over 300 in cooperation with King of Kings Lutheran Church. If you have a turkey that you won't be using, please consider donating it to this cause. Any and all assistance is appreciated. To volunteer to cook or for any questions, Contact Stacey Yerger at 845-476-5494.

Have a technical or creative streak and want to help improve our website? - Help us make our TBJ website reflect the warm and welcoming community we are. We are seeking motivated individuals willing to help lead the charge to update our website. Please reach out to Maryjean if you have any interest or know anyone willing to help out.
Mitzvah Mavens - We are seeking donations of scarfs, socks, gloves and any other warm weather attire - new or gently used. We will be donating them in conjunction with our very own Mitzvah Arugah handmade hats at various winter events and will be staging the third annual Scarfs of Love drive where we tie scarfs, with messages of hope to various places around Newburgh - encouraging anyone who needs some warmth of body and spirit to take one.
