TBJ Mitzvah Arugah Knitting Group – 7:00 pm – Thursday, June 1. The knitting class will meet only on the first Thursday of the month until the end of August. Feel free to pick up yarn at the temple office anytime and drop off finished hats. There is NO cost to you and all are welcome to join this growing circle of “Hookers & Loomers”.
TBJ Sisterhood Seudat Shlishit – 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 17. Customarily the third meal eaten on Shabbat. It has special significance because it is a mitzvah to eat three meals on the Sabbath. $18 for members/$25 for non-members. Men are welcome too! Please RSVP by June 8 to (845) 562-5516.
Yizkor Memorial Book - It's that time again to start thinking about your Yizkor Book dedications. The deadline to hand in the form below is Monday, July 10.
TBJ Sisterhood Pool Party – 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 15, at the Packer residence. There will be hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, and an ice cream bar. Bring your own folding chair, bathing suit, and towel. Please also bring a potluck side dish to share with at least 10 people. $10 per person. Please RSVP by Tuesday, July 11 to (845) 562-5516.
TBJ Sisterhood Dinner – 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 17 at the Orange Hill Restaurant, 82 Route 17K in Newburgh. Appetizers, Choice of Entrée, Dessert, Soda, Coffee & Tea. $40 per person includes gratuity. Please bring cash. Please RSVP to (845) 562-5516 by Friday, August 11. Annual dues of $18 will be due at the dinner.
Gift of Life Bone Marrow Swabbing Drive – Stem cell donors needed for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Donors swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration form, must be 18 to 35 years old and in good health. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of hours to help find someone’s match. Contact Sherrill Murray-Lazarus to volunteer at [email protected]. The upcoming swabbing dates are below:
Izaack, a 21-year-old, A-league soccer player, is in urgent need of a blood stem cell transplant in order to survive. Izaack was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2021. He doesn’t have a matching donor in his family, causing him to turn to the community for support.
