TBJ Mitzvah Arugah Knitting Group – 7:00 p.m. - Thursday, August 3. The knitting class will meet only on the first Thursday of the month until the end of August. Feel free to pick up yarn at the temple office anytime and drop off finished hats. There is NO cost to you, and all are welcome to join this growing circle of "Hookers & Loomers".
TBJ Sisterhood Dinner – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, at the Orange Hill Restaurant, 82 Route 17K in Newburgh. Appetizers, Choice of Entrée, Dessert, Soda, Coffee, and Tea $40 per person includes gratuity. Please bring cash. Please RSVP to (845) 562-5516 by Friday, August 11. Annual dues of $18 will be due at the dinner.

High Holiday & Shabbat Prayer Books - A MEANINGFUL AND LASTING GIFT - Dedicate a prayer book in honor of a family member or friend. We will notify them of your generosity and place a dedication bookplate with their name on the inside front cover of the prayer book. We are looking to purchase several sets of larger print High Holiday and Shabbat prayer books to assist our partners and enable them to participate more fully in services. Your generosity can help make this happen.
Gift of Life Bone Marrow Swabbing Drive – Stem cell donors needed for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. Donors swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration form, must be 18 to 35 years old and in good health. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of hours to help find someone’s match. Contact Sherrill Murray-Lazarus to volunteer at [email protected]. The upcoming swabbing dates are below:

Join us with certified instructor Bryon Abrams as he teaches us mind-body practices and mindfulness meditation to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, decrease anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Cookie Decorating Class – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at 290 North Street, Newburgh. $55 per person. Please RSVP by July 12 at (845) 562-5604 to reserve your spot. The theme is Peace, Love, and Sugar.
Dog Wash & Splash Pad – 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 6 at 290 North Street, Newburgh. Bring your lovable dogs for a dog-washing event. $10 for small dogs/$20 for large dogs. Snacks and beverages available for purchase provided by Party Animals Vegan Catering. Pet cleaning supplies will be available for purchase. Meet and greet some adoptable pets. RSVP by Tuesday, August 1, to (845) 562-5604. Donations welcome. Volunteers needed to assist in washing the pets and selling food. Towel Donations are appreciated to dry off the dogs. Benefiting the Humane Society of Walden.
