Mitzvah Arugah - Starting on Thursday, September 4 - our weekly knitting/crocheting/looming group will meet every Thursday 7-9 pm. Lessons are free, yarn is free, all hats are donated to those in need.
For those who would rather spend Thursday evenings playing board games, we are introducing the TBJ Social Club Game Night. Bring your own board game - Scrabble, Chess, Rummikub, Backgammon, dominoes, or card game. Spend time with friends and relax for a bit! Open to one and all! Everyone is welcome to join us - no cost, just have fun!

Reverse Tashlich – 10:00am on Sunday, September 14 at Pete & Toshi Seeger River Front Park in Beacon, NY. Join us in removing waste from the water and reflecting on our responsibility for ecological cleanliness. Bring gloves, garbage bags, and wear work shoes and hats!
Sisterhood Book Club – 1:00pm on Thursday, September 25 at the temple. The book will be “The Plot Against America by Philip Roth. An alternative history in which Franklin D. Roosevelt is defeated in the presidential election of 1940 by Charles Lindbergh. The novel follows the fortunes of the Roth family during the Lindbergh presidency, as antisemitism becomes more acceptable in American life and Jewish-American families like the Roths are persecuted on various levels. The narrator and central character in the novel is the young Philip, and the novel follows his coming of age, as well as American politics.

Gift of Life Bone Marrow Swabbing Drive – Stem cell donors needed for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. So far we have 151 Matches! Donors swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration form and must be in good health. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of hours to help find someone’s match.
