Sisterhood Book Discussion – 12:30pm on Thursday, July 25 at the temple. Discussion of the book “We Were The Lucky Ones” by Georgia Hunter. Prior to World War II, the Kurc family, Polish Jews, lived successful and peaceful lives in Radom. Their success protected them from some of the virulent anti-semitism in the country. Their protection did not last as Hitler's persecution of European Jewry intensified. Some members of the family find themselves in hiding and in concentration camps. Other members of the family managed to escape to France, Brazil, West Africa and Russia. Once the war ends, survivors from the family attempt to discover any living relatives and reunite.

Please join us as we gather together with our friends at the King of Kings Book club for a discussion of the book - The Faith Club - A Muslim, A Christian, A Jew - Three women search for Understanding by Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver and Priscilla Warner. This is promising to be a lively and necessary discussion as we navigate the complexities of our modern world seeking peace and understanding. Gift of Life Bone Marrow Swabbing Drive – Stem cell donors needed for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. So far we have had 78 Matches! Donors swab the inside of their cheeks and complete a registration form, must be 18 to 35 years old and in good health. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of hours to help find someone’s match.
