In order to sustain our Temple Beth Jacob community, the Board of Trustees has approved a minimum dues level of $2,600 per year, as well as the other categories listed above, effective July 1, 2025. Members may individually choose to ask for a reduction of the CHAI amount during a confidential conversation with the First Vice President. Tax returns or bank statements will not be requested or required and ...
Absolutely NO member will be turned away from Temple Beth Jacob based on financial reasons.
All dues levels will increase 3% annually. Members who are not residents of New York or neighboring states can maintain their membership by paying a minimum dues level of $500. These non-resident members will continue at a level as determined annually by the TBJ Board of Trustees.
Members who pledge and pay the CHAI level or above will not be required to make any additional pledges during the year. This includes the High Holy Day/Kol Nidre Appeal as well as Supermarket Scrip/Gift Card requirements. It is fervently hoped that members will choose to make High Holy Day pledges and support our TBJ Gift Card program, but these will not be required at the CHAI level of membership (or above). The CHAI membership is intended to be an all-inclusive level.
Please feel free to reach out to our Temple president if you would like to share your comments or feedback. Together we can celebrate and support Temple Beth Jacob for generations to come.
