Temple Beth Jacob Religious School Program

The Temple Beth Jacob Religious School is a place of community, a place where each student is valued and a place where together we engage in the sacred task of Jewish education for our young people.

In Pirkei Avot it is written, “Provide yourself with a teacher and get yourself a companion to study with”. It is in the context of community that Jewish learning blossoms most fully. A school becomes a community when people come together around shared values and ideas while engaging in meaningful work together.

Religious School takes place on Sunday at Temple Beth Jacob from 9 am - 11:30 am.

We use the Chai Cirriculum in our teaching. Details on this cirriculum are available here: Link to Chai Cirriculum

Our theme for the 2011-2012 school year is "A New Beginning"

During Religious School, though our dedicated teaching staff, we inspire our children with the ideals of Jewish tradition. Children Learn Jewish Music and Appreciation of Jewish Culture.

We strive to provide our students with a sense of community with fellow Jews throughout the world. We prepare them to live their lives according to the religious beliefs, ethical standards, and values of Judaism.

We invite you to discover, or rediscover, the treasures of Judaism for yourself and for your family by joining us in our array of programs: family Shabbat dinners and services, holiday celebrations, family programs, adult learning opportunities and more. Together, we can uncover the meaning and direction Judaism offers us and continue to walk the ancient path made new again. May we work together to increase our knowledge, enrich our lives with meaning, and build a community of learners where all are valued.

We thank you for sharing your child with us and for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the Jewish life of your family.
