Jewish Summer Camping

Summer camp scholarships are provided by the Federation to give as many Jewish children as possible a positive Jewish summer camp experience.  Summer camp scholarships are given to children attending  not-for-profit camps affiliated with national agencies and denominational movements, which encourage future trips to Israel as  a part of the whole camping experience.

These scholarships are granted on the basis of need, but will be awarded on merit, if campers make no requests on the basis of need.

Deadline: March 15, 2008

Hebrew day School Scholarships

Hebrew Day school scholarships are an expression of the Federation’s commitment to Jewish education. Since there is no Hebrew day school in Orange County, the federation subsidizes transportation for students attending day schools in Rockland and Sullivan counties.

It is our goal to ease the financial burden of parents who have made the commitment to provide their children with the fullest possible Jewish educational experience. In addition, tuition scholarship money is available to parents who could not otherwise consider Hebrew day school for their children due to financial hardship.

Deadline: April 1, 2008
