Polish Jewry, nearly annihilated by the Nazis, is alive and growing. Once known as a withering population with a few thousand elderly Holocaust survivors, Poland’s Jewish community is emerging as young Jews seek to find their roots and strengthen their Jewish identity. To nurture this growth, UJC/federation-supported JDC Poland has established five Children and Youth Clubs in the country’s main Jewish communities -- Warsaw, Wroclaw, Lodz, Krakow and Grdansk – in the past year while planning for the future
